DESSERT BREAD

, This easy dish makes an excellent dessert anytime!!Try for yourself and decide:)Thanks to srilakshmi for sharing this recipe! Ingredients: Bread - 6-8 pieces Refined Oil-ghee mixed Sugar -2 cups water Almond powder cherries(optional) How to make: Prepare sugar syrup by adding 2 cups of sugar to 1.5 cups of water.Boil well to get a thick consistency(until all the sugar dissolves)(make sure you keep it in a low flame) and keep the hot sugar syrup aside. Take a piece of bread and cut the edges of the bread in to square or round shape. Take a pan covering with about 1.5 inch of oil and heat . Keep the flame on medium. In the hot oil+ghee mixture fry the bread pieces (few at a time). Fry the bread pieces till its golden brown on both sides. You would need to turn over one time in between to fry the other side. Once done, take out the fried bread pieces and put it on a paper towel to drain the excess oil. Once the bread crumbs are fried,immediately dip in warm sugar syrup prep

MASALA DOSA

Dosa is  a typical dish in South Indian cuisine, eaten for breakfast or dinner, and is rich in carbohydrates and protein.Here's my mom's awesome masala dosa recipe !! Dosa Batter  Ingredients: 2 cups Rice 3/4 cup Urad Dal 1 fistful Bengal gram 1 fistful seeme akki(sago) 2 tsp Methi /fenugreek Seeds 1 tsp (Ghee+Oil) mixed for each dosa Salt as per taste HOW TO MAKE: Soak Urad dal, rice, methi seeds and sago with enough water  overnight. Grind the soaked ingredients with enough water to a  smooth paste in a grinder;Make sure the batter is not too watery! Allow the batter to ferment in a warm place for about 8-10 hours; Make sure the container has enough room for the batter to rise else the batter will overflow due to fermentation! Add salt to the fermented batter and mix well. Place a non stick Tava on medium heat.Once hot, pour a ladle full of batter at the center; With the back of the ladle, spread the batter thinly; Start from the center and work out
