INGREDIENTS Idly batter - about 3 cups Onions - 2 -finely chopped Green Chilles - 2 to 3 finely choppedGinger (grated) - about ½ inch Asafoetida(Hing) - a pinchBlack pepper - ½ tsp Red chili powder(optional)Curry leaves - few sprigsGrated coconut - 2 Tbspsalt if requiredHOW TO MAKE Take a mixing bowl and add all the ingredients with the Idly batter.
Add little salt if necessary and mix well.Heat the paniyaram tava ready.(it should be heated up before)
Grease the tava with a few drops of oil.Once it is hot,take a table spoon of the batter and fill about ¾ of the paniyaram mould.
Drizzle little oil and let it cook for 2-3 minutes on a low or medium flame.(Close it with a lid for faster cooking)After few minutes turn each paniyaram with the help of a spoon.
